Electric bike servicing
Same components as any bicycle, wearing two to three times faster.
An electric bike is a bicycle with all the same wear parts, carrying more weight, at higher average speed, with a motor adding torque to the drivetrain.
Everything that wears on a bicycle wears faster. Brake pads especially — you are stopping more mass from a higher speed, and riders used to normal bikes consistently underestimate how quickly pads disappear.
The two halves
The mechanical half is ordinary bicycle work done on a shorter interval. The electrical half is mostly preventative: cleaning and resealing connectors, checking capacity, reading the error log before a logged fault becomes a stranded rider.
Neither mobile service in Dubai currently does the electrical half at all.
What the job involves
The mechanical side

- Firmware and error log readFaults are often logged well before you notice them.
When this is not the job you need
A repair business that only ever says "book it in" is not worth trusting on anything else. These are the cases where you should not.
- If the bike is under warranty, some work may need to go through the dealer. We will tell you when that is the case.
- A service will not restore a degraded battery. Nothing will.

Do you service e-bikes at home?
Yes — mechanical work, diagnostics, battery testing and connector servicing all happen at your building. Only work needing a bench rig goes back with us.
